Commercial ostrich farmers in the Western Cape region of South Africa have addressed temperature fluctuations within their growing pens through the application of closed cell eco foam, commonly known as SPF (spray polyurethane foam).
Given the sensitivity of ostriches to cold temperatures, this strategic use of polyurethane spray products, specifically polyurethane foam spray, has proven effective in regulating and stabilizing temperatures within the enclosures. This ensures optimal conditions for the health and growth of the ostriches, thereby enhancing productivity and welfare in the farming operations.
